Marissa grew up in Jacksonville with her family, attending Episcopal School of Jacksonville. She is a graduate of The University of the South (Sewanee). During her time at Sewanee, Marissa was an active member on campus being a Kappa Delta, singing in the University Choir, and working with Residential Life, Student Life, and the Office of Admissions.
Since graduating from Sewanee, Marissa has made magic, interning at Walt Disney World, served Duval County public schools in a Human Resources position, and cared for a family member in Washington state.
Marissa has experience working in summer camps and at schools. She came up in youth ministry in the Diocese of Florida. She was active in her parish and at Camp Weed, serving on teams for Happening and New Beginnings. She is excited about her new role at All Saints. Marissa says, "Working with youth in the church has been a dream role for me since I was little. From the time I was a little girl I couldn't wait to join the youth group, doing all of the fun activities like lock-ins and pilgrimages."
Outside of the church, Marissa can most often be found playing with her dogs, Leo de-Pluto and Sammy, baking, or getting crafty! She is a novice guitar player, loves all different kinds of music, cooking, and enjoying the outdoors!
